Ammar Abu-Zayyad

Country Director, CARE International Jordan

Ammar Abu Zayyad is the country director of CARE International Jordan. CARE International Jordan works with refugees and host communities, with a particular focus on women, girls and vulnerable families, to help them deal with the effects of conflict, economic disparity, discrimination and a fragile resource base. Mr Ammar Abu Zayyad is a graduate of the University of Virginia School of Law and has previously worked in several positions at the Open Society Foundation, including as the Executive Director of its Regional Office.
