Mariem Oumrani
Gender Associate, United Nations Development Programme
Mariem is currently working as a gender associate at United Nations Development Programme. Her professional experiences span three countries (Italy, Tunisia, and USA), where she collaborated with various INGOs and think tanks. She has conducted research on livelihoods and economic recovery in fragile settings, the socio-economic impacts of COVID 19. Her interests revolve around social entrepreneurship, women’s economic empowerment, and informal economy. Mariem has recently graduated with an M.A. in Development Economics and International Cooperation from the University of Rome Tor Vergata. She also holds a M.Sc. in Macroeconomics and International Finance and B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Tunis.
