An important department within the Government of Dubai (UAE) seeks to recruit experienced economists for immediate hiring, in the following fields and levels.
Senior Economist. Field: micro-economic/sectoral issues, industrial development and innovation policies; environmental economics. Job responsibilities: conduct studies and prepare analysis, evaluate reports and external studies; apply econometric models and statistical tools that provide the necessary advice on economic implications to economy, business and industry. Education & experience: preferably PhD in Economics or a related field with 7 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in economics with 9 years of relevant experience. Languages: preferably bilingual Arabic and English with very strong writing capabilities in both languages. Salary and benefits: internationally competitive.
Economist. Field: micro-economic/sectoral issues, industrial development and productivity; labor economics. Job responsibilities: conduct studies and prepare analysis, evaluate reports and external studies; apply econometric models and statistical tools that provide the necessary advice on economic implications to economy, business and industry. Education & experience: preferably PhD in Economics or a related field with 2-3 years of relevant experience or Master’s degree in economics with 5 years of relevant experience. Languages: preferably bilingual Arabic and English with very strong writing capabilities in both languages. Salary and benefits: internationally competitive.
Economic Advisor: Field: Economic development; expertise in Macro/Sectoral issues; Job responsibilities: provide reliable and robust economic research and advice on policy issues relevant to Dubai and the UAE economies; Propose research agenda dealing with current economic issues and developments in Dubai/UAE; Provide expert input into current research projects and produce relevant recommendations, policies, or plans aimed at dealing with issues in hand. Education & experience:PhD in Economics or a related field with at least 10 years of relevant experience. Languages: bilingual Arabic and English with very strong writing capabilities in both languages. Salary and benefits: internationally competitive.
