Sawsan Abdulrahim is Assistant Professor in the Health Promotion and Community Health Department at the American University of Beirut. Sawsan received her PhD in health behavior and health education from the School of Public Health at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. She has worked with the Oman Ministry of Health, Health Care Society in Lebanon and the Welfare Association in the UK. Her research interests social inequality and health, the measurement of socioeconomic position in health research, cultural meanings of subjective evaluations of health, the health of immigrants, migrant workers, and long-term refugees.
