Mohamed Goaied

Professor of Economics, College of Business and Economics, Qatar University

Mohamed Goaied is a professor of Economics and Statistics at the college of Business and Economics, at Qatar University. He holds a Ph.D in Mathematical Economics and Econometrics from University of Dijon, France. He was a dean of IHEC Carthage from 2002-2005. He had a position as a full professor of Econometrics and statistics at IHEC Carthage from 2002-2016 and headed the laboratory of Research of Applied Economics and Finance, at University of Carthage, from 2005-2016. Held visiting positions at the University of Paris I and the International University of Monaco, among other institutions. He has carried out research and consulting activities in the field of Applied Microeconometrics, Development Economics, Labour Economics and Tourism Economics. He has several publications in refereed journals: Econometric Reviews, Journal of Productivity Analysis, International Review of Finance, Tourism Management, etc. He is a Fellow at the Economic Research Forum for Mena Region and a member of the Applied Econometric Association (France) and the National Statistic Board (Tunisia).
