Hosam Ibrahim is a Senior Research Assistant at the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI). Before joining IFPRI he was a Senior Associate at the United Nations World Food Programme and a Researcher at the Dubai Economic Council. He holds a BSc in Economics from the American University of Sharjah and an MA in Economics from the American University in Cairo. His research interests include development economics, food security, labor and productivity, macroeconomic modeling and forecasting, internal conflict, and the political economy of natural resources.
