Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) is to conduct a search for a high caliber individual to undertake the position of
Director General, IRTI & Chief Economist.
Based in Jeddah, KSA, this role will steer and oversee all organisational activities of the Islamic Research and Training Institute (IRTI) and will perform Chief Economist functions. IsDB is looking for someone with experience in a senior management role which holds a comprehensive knowledge in Islamic Finance and economics, Islamic Banking, research and training, preferably in the international/regional, bilateral/multilateral organizations.
This is a key appointment within the multilateral banks and not-for-profit sector and offers a great opportunity to create a substantial impact and leave an enduring legacy.
Qualifications and Experience
Academic and Professional Qualifications
• Master’s Degree in economics, banking, finance, or any other related discipline. • Minimum 13 years of prior relevant experience, preferably in the
• international/ multilateral development sector, handling multidiscipline functions. • Minimum 10 years of managerial experience.
Skills and Necessary Knowledge:
• Knowledge in Islamic Finance Sector
• Knowledge in Research and Training Sector
