In the second half of November 2022, the TRANSFORM Arab Region initiative – led by ILO, UNICEF, WFP, UNDP and UNESCWA (Advisory Group) – will organize its first Training of Trainers (ToT) for social protection experts who want to become TRANSFORM Master Trainers. The TRANSFORM initiative was initiated in 2015 with the aim of helping decision makers and practitioners take ownership in building and implementing national social protection systems and has seen increased uptake since. The initiative has now been expanded to the Arab region to respond to a growing demand for capacity building, and aims to grow a cohort of motivated Arabic-speaking Master Trainers that, once fully accredited, will be able to conduct trainings across the region in a team of fellow trainers at a daily fee.
We welcome applications for the 9-day training that will take place during the last two weeks of November. Participants will be selected through a competitive review and all participant costs will be covered. Proficiency in English is considered an advantage but we encourage also applications from candidates who prefer to express themselves in Arabic. Please find attached a detailed Call for Applications with all the details: please share within your social protection network and help us find the strongest prospective TRANSFORM Master Trainers. UN and government employees are also welcome to apply, however we strongly encourage sharing the profile with independent experts and consultants who will have the flexibility to proactively engage in the growth of the initiative across multiple countries in the region.
Candidates are asked to share with us their CV and cover letter (in English) at transformarabregion@unicef.org , plus a 5-7 minutes video as described in the Call for Applications. The deadline is September 10.
Please don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or refer others directly to Cosma Gabaglio and Nienke Raap, the TRANSFORM Arab Region Coordination Team (cgabaglio@unicef.org and raap@ilo.org). Both of them are also copied in this message.
