Yvonne Giesing
PostDoc, ifo Institute in Munich
She is a PostDoc at the ifo Institute in Munich. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (2017) and previously obtained a Master in Economic Research from the University of Cambridge, UK (2011). She is a research network affiliate at CESifo and EconPol and part of the junior faculty at Ludwig-Maximilians-University. She is a co-editor of the CESifo Forum. Her main research interests are migration, labour economics and development economics. In particular she is interested in the causes (climate change, technological progress, political instability) and the consequences (productivity, innovation, political effects) of migration. She is also interested in the integration of immigrants, in particular the labour market integration of refugees.
