Dr. Yousra Serghini recently earned her Ph.D. in Finance from the Faculty of Law, Economics and Social Sciences – Agdal, Mohammed V University in Rabat (Morocco). Her doctoral dissertation, entitled “The Influence of Non-Cognitive Components on Financial Decision Irrationality and the Mitigation of Behavioral Biases”, explores the intersection between behavioral finance and cognitive psychology, with a focus on how emotional and non-cognitive factors shape investors’ decisions. She holds a Master’s degree in Money, Banking, Finance and Insurance (MBFA) from the University of Montpellier (France), where she specialized in market risk analysis, and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from the same university. Her academic and professional background bridges both quantitative and behavioral approaches to finance, supported by strong analytical and econometric skills (EViews, Stata, SPSS, SmartPLS, LaTeX). Dr. SERGHINI has served as a lecturer and teaching assistant in several finance-related courses, including Portfolio Management, Islamic Finance, and International Finance, at Mohammed V University. Her research and teaching activities reflect a clear interest in financial market dynamics, investor behavior, and experimental learning in finance. She has already co-authored and published research papers such as “Profitability of Contrarian Strategies on the Moroccan Stock Market” and “Immersive Learning in Finance: The Role of University Trading Rooms”, illustrating her commitment to bridging academic theory and financial practice. As an emerging scholar, Dr. SERGHINI aims to further explore behavioral determinants of investment decisions, financial education, and innovative pedagogies in finance. Her ambition is to contribute to a better understanding of irrational behaviors in financial markets and promote evidence-based strategies to enhance financial decision-making.
