Yasmine Eissa
Assistant Professor and Associate Chair, Economics Department, Onsi Sawiris School of Business, The American University in Cairo
Yasmine Eissa is an assistant professor and the associate chair of the economics department at the Onsi Sawiris School of Business, the American University in Cairo (AUC). She holds a PhD (2023) in economics from Cairo University, an MA (2009), and a BA (2005) in economics from AUC. Her research interests are at the intersection of global value chains, innovation, and labor markets. Her studies are focused on emerging regions and are published in refereed journals on international trade and innovation. She has received multiple recognitions for her work, including the Ibn Khaldun Prize 2023 and the EMANES 2023 Best Paper Award. She is a former research fellow at the WTO Chairs Program and a current research associate at the Economic Research Forum.
