Economist, World Bank’s Education Global Practice

Tanya Savrimootoo is an Economist in the World Bank’s Education Global Practice, based in Washington D.C. She currently works on basic and secondary education projects in Tanzania (mainland and Zanzibar). She has contributed to Public Expenditure Reviews in the Education Sector for the Democratic Republic of Congo, Nigeria, and Cote d’Ivoire and has led analytical work on Education Financing in Sudan. Tanya holds an undergraduate degree in Economics with a secondary concentration in Mathematics from Bates College and a M.A. in Economics from American University.
