Talal Al-Aulaqi

SPE Oman Section Technical Director

Dr Al-Aulaqi works in PDO & Oxy & Dragon including unconventional and EOR Development, Qarn Alam Steam EOR Development, and Mukzhina EOR, handling WRFM and fast-track FDP for frontier expansion, supporting the development Team and Field Development. Dr. Al-Aulaqi earned his Ph.D. in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Leeds, his BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Leicester, and his MS in Petroleum Engineering from Heriot-Watt. He is also a visiting faculty at Sultan Qaboos University. He spent over 15 years with PDO, Shell, and Oxy and was the subject matter expert for heavy oil EOR and polymer enhancement. He has published over 20 technical and presented at various SPE conferences. Currently, he is SPE Oman Section Technical Director.
