Sara Taghvatalab is a Lecturer of Economics at Christopher Newport University in Virginia. She received her B.Sc. in Economics from University of Tehran, her M.Sc. in Economic Development and Planning from Allameh Tabatabai University, and her Ph.D. in Economics from Virginia Tech in 2015. Her primary research interests lie in the area of development economics, with an emphasis in economics of gender, and applied econometrics. Particularly, her research focuses on the pressing gender-related issues in Iran. She has published a paper on education and time allocation of Iranian women in the "Review of Economics of the Household" and a forum article based on this paper in the ERF Policy Portal.
