Sara Alnuaimi

CEO, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center

Sara Alnuaimi is a distinguished leader with over 20 years of experience in both the private and public sectors of the UAE. In June 2024, she took on the role of CEO at Sharjah Entrepreneurship Center, Sheraa. Under her leadership, Sheraa continues to be a leader in the UAE’s entrepreneurship and innovation landscape , establishing Sharjah as a globally recognized and leading hub for talent, ventures and entrepreneurship. Prior to Sheraa, Sara served as the Director of Strategy Success at the Abu Dhabi Early Childhood Authority. She led transformative initiatives to make Abu Dhabi and the UAE more child and family-friendly through redesigning public spaces, launching initiatives to increase quality time between parents and children, and implementing cross-sectoral initiatives focused on child development. Sara's leadership journey also includes her role as the Director of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, a philanthropic organization managing large-scale humanitarian and developmental projects. She led on key initiatives such as the 1 Billion Meals Campaign, addressing global hunger, the Arab Reading Challenge, encouraging millions of students in over 40 countries to read, and Madrasa, a free online educational platform leading the movement of education technology that offers Arabic educational Content for K-12 students. Earlier in her career, Sara held various roles at e& the UAE's leading telecom operator, where she excelled in different fields such as strategy, business performance, project management, market research, and business transformation. Her last position at Etisalat was as Director of Business Transformation, leading transformational and satrategic projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency and customer experience. Sara holds a master's degree in International Business Law from the University of Paris II and a B.S. in Marketing & MIS from the American University of Sharjah. Her extensive experience and proven track record in leading transformative initiatives make her a pivotal figure in driving Sheraa’s mission to empower the next generation of entrepreneurs and foster a robust startup ecosystem in Sharjah and beyond.
