Sami Mahroum

Director of Research and Strategy at the Dubai Future Labs (Dubai Future Foundation)

Dr. Sami Mahroum is Director of Research and Strategy at the Dubai Future Labs (Dubai Future Foundation) and a Professor of Innovation Strategy at the Solvay Brussels School of Economics and Management and until recently, a Senior Lecturer and Director at INSEAD leading a policy platform dedicated to the study of innovation, business, and policy. Aside from his academic activities, Mahroum acquired a strong policy experience at high profile organisations, including the European Commission, the OECD, Nesta, the Rand Corporation and the Ontario Government. In addition, Mahroum served on two WEF councils: Education and Skills and the Strategy Group for the MENA region. His career spans several countries and continents where he worked as a technology policy researcher and an advisor on innovation policy issues in Austria, Canada, the Netherlands, the UAE, and the UK.
