Samad Alaamati

University of Tehran

Samad Alaamati is a master's graduate of economics from the University of Tehran and a master's graduate of mathematics from Sharif University. During my master's studies, he investigated the impact of sanctions on the supply side of Iran's economy and figured out that among different factors of production including productivity, labor, and capital, productivity has the highest share in explaining the reduction in Iran's production following the UN sanctions. His other lines of research are focused on illegal importation and the impact of various trade barriers on it. As it is expected, the more trade barriers, the higher the smuggled imports.
