Saad Belghazi

Economist/Consultant

Dr. Saad Belghazi is an Economist-Consultant (specialist in employment and environment). He obtained his PhD in Planning and Development in 1982; and his PhD in Economics in 1990. Dr. Saad was a professor of higher education at the National Institute of Statistics and Applied Economics (Rabat) from 1983 to 2005 and was a founding member (in 1988) and director of the Centre d'Etudes et de Recherches Aziz Belal (CERAB) from 1998 to 2000. He was also an advisor to the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Economic Development (2005-2007). In addition, he worked with the International Labor Organization (2009 -2010) as project leader for the research project "Expanding Knowledge base on Decent Work in Mediterranean Countries: Turkey, Israel, Egypt and Morocco, Syria, Jordan, Algeria and Lebanon.
