Dr. Rania Megally is an Assistant Professor of Economics at the University of Prince Edward Island – Cairo Campus, hosted by Universities of Canada in Egypt. She holds a Ph.D. in Economics from the German University in Cairo in collaboration with Universität Mannheim, specializing in development and health economics. With over 16 years of academic experience, she has taught at leading institutions and conducted research on impact evaluation, applied econometrics, and economic development. Dr. Megally has worked as a consultant for WHO-EMRO since 2020 and has contributed to policy design in low- and middle-income countries. Her research, supported by grants from the World Bank and DAAD, has been published in international journals and presented at major economic conferences. She actively collaborates with governmental and international organizations to integrate research into public policy and has spearheaded initiatives to enhance Egypt’s education sector.
