Paolo Coccorese is Professor of Economics at the University of Salerno. He holds a degree in Economics (University of Salerno), a Master degree in Development Economics and a Ph.D. in Economics (University of Naples). He has studied at the University of Warwick (UK) and has been Visiting Fellow at the Essex Business School (UK). His research focuses on the functioning of banking markets, the link between the financial sector and economic growth, and the role of banks in local economic development.
