Economic Expert, Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lebanon

Ola Sidani is an Economic Expert at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in Lebanon. She represents Lebanon at the League of Arab States Committee for Achieving Sustainable Development 2030 in the Arab Countries. In July 2018, she was member of Lebanon’s official delegation to the UN, where Lebanon presented its first VNR report; and she is a prominent guest speaker in global and regional forums. She is an expert in sustainable development, public policies and international cooperation, and management of donor-funded projects. bringing about transformative and inclusive policy advice in highly volatile settings. She led on various public sector governance reform projects, including national statistics system reform, sustainable development, trade and investment, public policy integration, and institutional capacity-building. She also led Lebanon’s national SDGs portfolio, VNR reporting, and represented the government at international conventions. In 2019, she was selected by the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) to peer-review the VNR process for Ghana and Pakistan. Newly, she developed a first to market SDGs x WPS Reporting toolkit Ola an alumna of the UN Alliance of Civilizations fellowship program. Prior to joining UNDP, Ola started her career as an economic researcher at the Union of Arab Chambers of Commerce, specializing in regional economic integration issues.
