Nergiz Dincer

Nazire Nergiz Dincer graduated from Middle East Technical University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics in 1997. She commenced her career as a planning expert at the State Planning Organization of Turkey. Subsequently, in 2005, she attained her Ph.D. in Economics from Bilkent University, followed by two years of postdoctoral research as a visiting scholar at the University of California, Berkeley, in 2005-2006 and 2010-2011. Since 2012, Dr. Dincer has been affiliated with TED University, where she currently holds the position of Professor in the Department of Economics and serves as the vice director of the TEDU Trade Research Center. Her academic interests primarily revolve around international economics, the Turkish economy, and central banking. Her research contributions have been published in esteemed journals such as Economic Inquiry, International Journal of Central Banking, Economic Modelling, European Journal of Operational Research, and Empirica. Additionally, she has authored chapters in various books published by Oxford University Press and Edward Elgar Publishing. Dr. Dincer has actively participated in projects funded by organizations like TUBITAK, IMF, the World Bank, and COMCEC, focusing on trade-related issues. She has also served as a referee for numerous reputable journals including Journal of Financial Stability, Journal of Money, Credit and Banking, Journal of International Money and Finance, IMF Staff Papers, Journal of Economic Integration, Applied Economics, and Emerging Markets Trade and Finance.
