Muhammad Moiz

Muhammad Moiz is a Ph.D. candidate at the Department of Economics at Ibn Haldun University, Istanbul. He is also working as a research associate at Wayne State University. His research is on agglomeration economies, wage premiums, and labor market dynamics. In addition, his research interests include labor economics, development economics, immigration, and economic integration of migrants and refugees. During his time in Turkey, Mr. Moiz worked with two Istanbul-based NGOs from May 2016 – August 2018. He was involved in several projects for Syrian refugees in Turkey where his responsibilities included data collection, data analysis, report writing, and assisting in writing of EU funded project applications. From September 2018 to January 2023, he was a Teaching Fellow at Ibn Haldun University where he worked with the Department of History and the Department of Economics. He also assisted with research activities at the Department of Economics, in particular working on a Financial Resiliency Report during the COVID-19 period.
