Qualified at PhD and MSc level in Economics with at least 24 years of experience in this field, He has worked as Economic Consultant with different National and International Organizations beside his position as full Professor of Economics at the University of Sana’a. Dr. Almaitami served as vice Chairman of Non-Governmental Advisory Counsel for the President of the Republic of Yemen, 2007-2011. He is a founder of various Non-governmental and Academic Institutions. In 2006 He Joined the Federation of Chamber of Commerce and Industry as the General Director until 2009 and since he is extensively working and supporting Yemen Private Sector in engagement in Socio-economic Development and Policy making.
