Mirey Ovadiya
Senior Social Protection Specialist, The World Bank
Ms. Mirey Ovadiya is the Program Leader for Human Development for Egypt, Djibouti and Yemen with the World Bank Group. She is trained as an economist. During her career at the World Bank, she has worked in various countries in Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and Africa on supporting governments, NGOs, and private sector develop health, education and social protection and labor market programs with a focus on youth and women. She specializes in employment support, skills development and labor market measures, safety nets, and refugee integration. Prior to the World Bank, she has worked in the private sector and US local government. She holds a Master’s degree on Public Policy from the University of Michigan, Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy and a joint Bachelor’s degree on Economics and International Relations from Beloit College.
