Michele Imbruno

Michele Imbruno is currently an Associate Professor in Economics at Sapienza University of Rome, Italy, and an External Research Fellow at Nottingham Centre for Research on Globalisation and Economic Policy (GEP), UK. He received a Ph.D. in Economics (University of Nottingham, UK), a Ph.D. in Economics and Technology for Sustainable Development (University of Foggia, Italy), M.A. in International Economics (University of Sussex, UK), Master in European Studies (Université Libre de Bruxelles & Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, Belgium). Before joining Sapienza University of Rome, he held academic positions at University of Verona (Italy), CERDI, Université Clermont Auvergne, CNRS (France), IMT Lucca (Italy) and University of Foggia (Italy). He also worked as a Consultant for the World Bank, and as an Intern at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Assocamerestero. His main research interests are in the field of International Economics, Development Economics, Industrial Organization, Applied Microeconometrics. His works primarily focus on firm-level adjustments to globalisation and have been published in several refereed journals, such as Journal of International Economics, Journal of Development Economics and Journal of Comparative Economics.
