Michaela Prokop
Senior Economic Advisor, UNDP Jordan
Michaela Prokop joined UNDP Jordan in 2018 as Senior Economic Advisor. Her work focuses on policy analysis and dialogue on financing for sustainable development, impact investment and the implementation of the 2030 Agenda. She has also led several COVID-19 impact assessments on vulnerable households and businesses. Prior to joining UNDP Jordan Michaela headed UNDP’s Inclusive Growth Team at UNDP’s Bangkok Regional Hub and served as Regional Programme Advisor on the 2030 Agenda. Michaela has also worked for the World Bank, European Union and the Asian Development Bank focusing on economic policy, political economy and sustainable development. Michaela holds a Ph.D. in Political Economy of the Middle East from the University of Durham, U.K. and a BScEcon in International Politics/ Area Studies (Middle East) from the University of Wales (Aberystwyth), U.K..
