Michael Renner is the Head of the Socioeconomics and Policy team within the Knowledge Policy and Finance Centre (KPFC) at the International Renewable Energy Agency, located in Abu Dhabi. From 1987 to 2017, he served as a Senior Researcher at the Worldwatch Institute in Washington DC. Since joining IRENA in 2017, his work has primarily concentrated on the socio-economic impacts of renewable energy, particularly focusing on employment and just transition issues. He is the lead author of IRENA’s Renewable Energy and Jobs – Annual Review.
