Mhamed Ben Salah has a PhD in Development Economics from the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies in Geneva (Supervisor: Professor Jean Louis Arcand). His research interests span the fields of Economic History and Development Economics. He is particularly interested in Colonial History, Education, Conflicts and Inequalities. He focuses on North Africa and Sub-Saharan Africa. He holds a Bachelor degree in Economics from the University of Geneva and a Master degree in International Economics from the Graduate Institute. He worked as a consultant for the World Bank, the Center for Global Development and the Forum Tunisien pour les Droits Economiques et Sociaux . Currently, he is working as Junior Economist (STC) at the World Bank, providing a mix of direct technical assistance and analytical support to government counterparts in Tunisia to help them design and implement a selected range of reforms.
