Matteo Targa is a PhD student at the DIW Berlin Graduate Centre. He obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Management at the university of Padova and subsequently he conducted his master studies in Economics at the University of Bologna. In his dissertation thesis he studied empirically the effect of immigration on the wage distribution in Italy using data from the Italian Labour Force Survey for the period 2008-2013. Matteo’s current research interests are focused on income inequality and redistribution policies.
