Lea Bou Khater

Lea Bou Khater is a part-time faculty at the Department of Political Studies and Public Administration, at the American University of Beirut (AUB) and a former post-doctoral fellow affiliated to the Sociology, Anthropology, and Media Studies at AUB. She earned her PhD in Development Studies from the School of Oriental and African Studies of University of London. Her research focuses on labour relations and social security. Currently, she explores the legal and effective social protection of migrant workers in the GCC countries. She is the author of The Labour movement in Lebanon. Power on hold (Manchester University Press, 2022).
