Johanes Agbahey
Research Assistant, International Agricultural Trade and Development Group of the Humboldt University of Berlin
As agricultural economist with ten years of experience in economic analysis and policy advisory services, I am now passionately engaged, as part of the German Development Corporation (GIZ), in supporting public and private authorities in Africa in the analysis and development of agricultural and trade policies. His experience in policy assessment using economic modelling will be put to good use to explore and quantify the impact of policies in order to inform decision-makers in the partner countries. In his professional capacity, as researcher first at the International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, and later at the University of Hohenheim and the Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, he developed strong analytical skills and a geographical expertise spanning over the Middle East and Africa on agricultural, trade and labor market issues.
