Jinane Jouni is an economic researcher with UN-ESCWA (Beirut), working in the Poverty and Inequality team. She conducts research in welfare economics, focusing on the Arab Region. Jinane is also a PhD candidate in applied mathematics at the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne. Her work spans the intersection of economics and mathematics, with a particular interest in applying mathematical models to understand and address socio-economic challenges in the Arab Region. Jinane's research aims to contribute to the development of effective policies and interventions to reduce poverty and inequality.
