Jinane Jouni is a researcher and data scientist at the American University of Beirut (AUB), specializing in applying optimization models in the energy field. Previously, she worked as an economic researcher and data scientist with UN-ESCWA (Beirut) in the Poverty and Inequality team, conducting research in welfare economics with a focus on the Arab region. Jinane is also a PhD candidate in applied mathematics at the École des Mines de Saint-Étienne. Her work bridges economics, statistics, and data science, leveraging advanced modeling techniques to address socio-economic and energy-related challenges. Through her research, she aims to contribute to data-driven policy solutions that foster sustainable development.
