Jennifer Olmsted

Professor of Economics, Drew University

Jennifer Olmsted is Professor of Economics, Director of Middle East and Arabic and founding Director of Drew University’s Social Entrepreneurship program. She also regularly consults for the United Nations. Growing up in Beirut Lebanon shaped her research interests. She has a BS in Foreign Service from Georgetown University, a Master’s in Agricultural Economics and PhD in Economics from the University of California, Davis. Her publications have appeared in Feminist Economics, History of the Family, Journal of Development Studies, Journal of Middle East Women’s Studies, Review of Radical Political Economics, Review of Social Economy, Women’s Studies International Forum, and World Development.
