Jawad Al Anani

Dr. Jawad Al Anani is a seasoned economist and politician. He has held several high-ranking and ministerial positions in the civil service over the years and has served, among others, as Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Labour, Minister of Industry and Trade, Minister of Tourism and Minister of Foreign Affairs. In addition, he was appointed as president of the Royal Court and as the president of the Economic and Social Council. Furthermore, he served as a member of the Senate in more than one session. During his impressive career, he played a vital role in the creation of the Social Security Corporation. Dr. Al Anani holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Georgia.
