Ismail H. Genc, Ph.D., Texas A&M University 1999, is a professor of economics at the Department of Economics in the American University of Sharjah. He was in Economics and Statistics departments at the University of Idaho as an associate professor with tenure. He served as Vice-President of the Southwestern Economics Association, currently sits in editorial boards, and provides testimony to policy/decision-makers in industry and governmental bodies. His expertise is in applied monetary economics, economic development, migration, and remittances.
