Research Specialist, Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR)

Dr. Husam Arman is a Research Specialist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Dr Arman's research work is related to improving Kuwait's national innovation system and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) development. His previous research was in technology, innovation, and Research and Development (R&D) management at the enterprise level. During his Research Fellow post at The University of Nottingham, he worked with international firms, such as Rolls-Royce, to develop methodologies to optimize technology and innovation strategies. His university's experience in the UK and the Middle East included empirical studies with public organizations and firms to improve industries and intuitional development activities. His work has appeared in international refereed journals such as Science and Public Policy, R&D Management Journal, International Journal of Industrial and Systems Engineering, International Journal of Technology Intelligence, International Journal of Innovation and Technology Management, and Clean Technologies and Environmental Policy.
