Former Speaker of the Sudan Democratic Alliance

Hassan Elhassan is the Former Speaker of the Sudan Democratic Alliance, with extensive experience in political news writing and analysis. He worked as a news editor and presenter at Voice of America Arabic division in Washington DC 2001. He also joined the news room of Alsharq al-Awsat Daily newspaper as the Managing Editor in London. He served also as a reporter covering East African issues for the United Press International Agency UPI. With a Masters degree in political science from the Arab Research Institute, Mr. Elhassan has extensively published articles and he currently serves as an editor and TV report producer for al Rayyan satellite channel, based in Doha, Qatar.
