Dr. Hajer ZARROUK; Ph.D. in economics/ Finance, currently serving as an Associate Professor, at Higher College of Technology, UAE. She holds a Master in Banking and Monetary Economics and earned her PhD in economics from University of Mediterranean, France & University of Tunis El-Manar, Tunisia (2008). Self-motivated with 20+ years of teaching experience, designing educational strategies, and coaching students to success. Passionate researcher with a deep understanding of small business and UAE ecosystem, along with a strong background in finance, FinTech, Islamic finance, investment, financial development, economic performance and entrepreneurial orientation. Author of several research studies published in refereed journals and has presented papers in many international conferences. She received two prestigious awards “Emerald Literati Awards, Awards for Excellence - 2018 Outstanding Papers” and “The ADEC Award for Research Excellence” (A2RE)_2015. Member at the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI) and Accredited SME Consultant (ASMEC) by the Association of Accredited Small Business Consultants (AASBC®).
