Elwasila S.E. Mohamed has been teaching economics for 17 years to undergraduate and post-graduate students at the University of Khartoum. Within economics, his main focus has been on environmental and natural resource economics, economics of sustainability including sustainability of external debt. He has published research papers in international and national journals and has contributed chapters in edited books. He has two forthcoming books on environmental economics and economics of sustainability. He has wide administrative experience in academics and is currently the Dean of the Faculty of Economic and Social Studies, University of Khartoum in Sudan. He is currently engaged in teaching of environmental economics, natural resource economics, health economics and economics of sustainability at the postgraduate level. He is also a member of many university boards, and international organisations including the European Association of Environmental and Resource Economists, and International Health Economics Association. He has traveled widely across the world in connection with his academic assignments and received many prestigious awards and scholarships.
