Dirk Willenbockel, PhD (London Business School – University of London), is a Research Fellow at the Institute of Development Studies at the University of Sussex. He is an economist with experience and numerous publications in the areas of trade policy and regional economic integration, climate change impact and adaptation analysis, economics of low-carbon growth, global and regional food system scenario analysis and fiscal policy analysis. He has particular technical expertise in the design and application of computable general equilibrium models for forward-looking development policy analysis. He has been a consultant for intergovernmental organizations and development agencies including the World Bank, UNDP, WFP, ILO, European Commission, USAID, DFID, GIZ and BMZ.
