Ayele Gelan is Research Economist with the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). His research and teaching experience encompass developed and developing country contexts. He is skilled in general equilibrium modelling, IO & SAM-based multiplier and economic linkage analysis. His previously affiliations include Research Scientist with the International Livestock Research Institute (ILRI), Kenya; Research Fellow at the Hutton Institute in Aberdeen, UK; Director of Tayside Economic Research Centre at University of Abertay, UK. He has widely published in peer reviewed journals on energy, trade, regional, agricultural, and tourism policies. He holds PhD in Economics, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK.
