Anna Spinardi
Project Manager, DPA
Anna Spinardi is Brazilian and holds a MSc in Global Development from the University of Copenhagen, and a BA in International Relations from the PUC São Paulo. Within the development arena, Anna has focused her work and attention on topics related to gender inequality and gender-based violence, having experience in research on conditional cash transfers and women’s empowerment in Colombia, and on systemic corruption and white collar crimes in Brazil. She further worked as a Gender Advisor at the Permanent Mission of Brazil to the UN in New York, providing guidance and support to the Brazilian delegation on the adoption of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. She has worked as Project Manager in multiple projects at DPA, having led the “Country Gender Equality Profile for Liberia”, that provided key entry points on how to integrate gender issues to promote gender-responsive policies and programming in the country; and in the project with UNDP that addressed prevention and response to sexual and GBV in Sierra Leone by working with traditional, local, and national structures. She also has experience as Gender Expert and Researcher, having participated in the “Mental Health and Gender Inequality in the MENA Region: An analysis of shock related factors within the context of the COVID-19 pandemic” and the “Institutional Gender Assessment of Cinvestav” that analyzed the dynamics in the workplace of the center.
