Almukhtar Saif Al-Abri

Dr. Almukhtar Al-Abri is an Associate Professor of Economics in the Department of Economics and Finance in the College of Economics and Political Science at Sultan Qaboos University, Oman. Dr. Al-Abri is currently the Dean of the College since 2020, and was also the HoD of the Economics and Finance Department during 2017-2020. Dr. Al-Abri’s current work focuses on, monetary and exchange rate policies, the economics of oil-exporting countries, and the relationship between foreign investment and institutional quality at firm and macro levels. He has published in a number of internationally refereed journals and participated in many regional and international conferences.
