Ali Ersin Dinçer

Ali Ersin Dinçer received his B.Sc., M.Sc., and Ph.D. degrees in Civil Engineering from Middle East Technical University in 2010, 2013, and 2017, respectively, and completed a second bachelor’s degree in Business Administration at Anadolu University in 2011. He has been a faculty member at Abdullah Gül University since 2019, serving in the Departments of Civil Engineering and Sustainable Infrastructure Engineering, and became an Associate Professor in 2021. His research spans hydrodynamics, flood modelling, fluid–structure interaction, and hydropower system design, with recent work increasingly focused on sustainability and energy systems, including solar and wind energy, infrastructure resilience, and cross-country disaster risk analysis. He has contributed to numerous national and international projects in the fields of renewable energy, climate adaptation, and flood risk management. Dr. Dinçer has also developed software tools for engineering and sustainability applications, integrating computational methods with data-driven decision support. He is the recipient of two first-place awards in the United Nations Development Programme’s Every Drop Matters competition.
