Ahmed Elsayed is an Associate Professor of Financial Economics, United Arab Emirates University (UAEU). He is a Research Fellow of the Economic Research Forum (ERF), the Sustainable Development Goals Network (SDGs), and the Institute for Middle Eastern and Islamic Studies among many others. Further, he is serving as an Executive Secretary of the Middle East Economic Association (MEEA), and an Associate Editor in Research in International Business and Finance (RIBAF) and Heliyon Business and Economics journals. His main research areas include Monetary Economics, FinTech and Cryptocurrency, Financial Connectedness and Risk Transmission, Financial Bubbles, Banking and Islamic Finance, and Middle East Economies. He has published in top academic journals including Economics Letters, European Journal of Finance, Journal of International Financial Markets, Institutions and Money, Energy Economics, International Review of Financial Analysis, Research in International Business and Finance, Finance Research Letters, and Quarterly Review of Economics and Finance among many other journals.
