Dr. Ahmed Alaa Fayed is the CEO of Modern Schools of Egypt (MSE) Education Group, overseeing four schools that serve more than 5,000 families. Following his PhD, Dr. Fayed was a Visiting Fellow at the University of Cambridge. He has taught graduate and undergraduate courses, conducted research, and provided consultancy services at leading academic and non-academic institutions, including King’s College London (KCL), the American University in Cairo (AUC), Nile University (NU), Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), and the Egyptian Cabinet. He also serves as a Research Associate at the Economic Research Forum (ERF). Dr. Fayed’s research focuses on corruption, education policy, and local governance across the Middle East, with a particular emphasis on Egypt. His work has been published in internationally peer-reviewed journals, book volumes, and conferences. He is internationally recognized by the World Economic Forum as an Alumnus Global Shaper. At AUC, he served as Student Union President and later as a member of the Alumni Council. Dr. Fayed holds a PhD in Public Policy from King’s College London – University of London, as well as an MPA and BSc from the American University in Cairo. He also earned an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
