Ahmed Alaa Fayed

Ahmed Alaa Fayed is an Egyptian academic, social entrepreneur and an educator. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Management and Public Policy at Nile University and a Research Associate at the Economic Research Forum (ERF). He is also the Founder & CEO of Cairo Graduate College (CGC). CGC focuses on research and learning for employment in the Social Sciences. Fayed serves as the Executive Director for Modern Schools of Egypt (MSE) group. The group manages 3 schools, serving more than 5000 families. Following his PhD, he served as a visiting fellow at the University of Cambridge. Fayed taught, conducted research and consulted at a number of academic and non-academic institutions; including, King’s College London (KCL), the American University in Cairo (AUC), Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI), the Egyptian Cabinet and others. Fayed’s research focuses on corruption, education policies, and local governance across the Middle East with a focus on Egypt. Fayed’s research has appeared in internationally peer reviewed journals, book volumes and conferences. He is internationally recognized by the World Economic Forum as a Global Shaper. At AUC he was the Student Union President and he also served on the Alumni Council. He earned his PhD in Public Policy from King's College London - University of London and his MPA & BSc from the American University in Cairo. He also received an Executive Certificate in Public Leadership from Harvard Kennedy School.
