Dr. Ahmad Alawadhi is an Associate Research Scientist at the Kuwait Institute for Scientific Research (KISR). Dr Ahmad's research work is concerned with Kuwait's economy and its sustainable growth. He holds a master degree in economics from American University (Washington D.C.) and a PhD in economics from the University of Southampton (UK). His research includes the areas of macroeconomic growth, trade, energy and water economics. He has published articles in a number of international refereed journals such Economic Modelling, Emerging Markets Finance and Trade, Journal of Economic Structures, International Review of Applied Economics, OPEC Energy Review, Middle East Development Journal and International Journal of Environmental Studies.
