Abderrahim Bouazza

General Director, Bank Al-Maghrib

Mr. Abderrahim Bouazza has been the General Director of Bank Al-Maghrib since July 2015. He joined Bank Al-Maghrib in 1980 within the Banking Supervision Department, a unit he later led from 2001 to 2013. In this capacity, he served as Vice President of the Credit Institutions Committee, member of the Financial Stability Board, the Financial Services Board, and the Board of Directors of the Financial Markets Authority (2009-2013). In 2014, he was appointed Advisor to the Governor of Bank Al-Maghrib, overseeing the Casablanca Financial Center project. In 2015, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of the Moroccan Company for Management of Deposit Guarantee Funds (SGFG). Mr. Abderrahim Bouazza holds a degree in Economics.
