Junior Visiting Fellow, Middle East Council on Global Affairs

Abdalftah Hamid Ali is a junior visiting fellow at the Middle East Council on Global Affairs. He has recently graduated from the Doha Institute for Graduate Studies in Qatar, with a master’s degree in public policy. Abdalftah’s research interests include economic development, public policy, energy transition, and sustainability in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region. Previously, he was a research intern at Qatar Foundation’s EARTHNA Center for a Sustainable Future and the Arab Center for Research and Policy Studies. Prior, he worked as an electrical engineer in Sudan. Hamed Ali has co-authored articles published in the Journal of Energy Strategy Reviews, the International Transactions on Electrical Energy Systems Journal, and Doha Institute’s HIKAMA.
